This creek runs through granite rock down into the gorge north of Beechworth. It is an amazing place, so I’m surprised I hadn’t heard of it until I visited this past weekend. I’m definitely going back.
Wow, 100 followers. Thanks for listening!
Today’s photo is a topiary of one of the dinosaur mascots of the Gyeongnam Goseong Dinosaur World Expo held in 2012 in southern Korea. This was but one of the very many styles and sizes of dinosaur sculptures on display, alongside some dinosaur footprints and other museum pieces for which the area is renowned. The expo’s theme was ‘Raindrops say hello to dinosaurs’. The idea being to not only wow and entertain folks with a massive dinosaur show (and it was MASSIVE), but also engage and educate the youth in water conservation and rainwater harvesting. Or something to that effect. Leading to why I was there, which was to attend a rainwater harvesting conference at the centre next door, timed to coincide with the expo.
