Stef's adventures in craftiness

Two stories

I got a proper tripod. It is awesome. Although the screw on the quick release plate was loose I still manage to get a couple of shots on the way home.
Also Franzy wrote a timely letter to me about photographic philosophy. And equipment.

  1. I also notice that you are able to take photos at night. From someone who works in a windowless office 9-5 and studies at night, this is most amusing!
Also: what the hell is this perspective? How are you looking across at the shops and DOWN at those stools? What is this?

  2. We had a concert in the city. Also cycling home helps because you can stop more easily. Perhaps you could take night scenes of Friday night Gouger St, the Adelaide scene… I’m sure there are some interesting characters.
Ooh or a plane at night. You’d need to prop the camera on a table or something and use the 2 sec timer… Maybe a bit of motion blur… Use that backyard!
Actually I haven’t taken any night shots for a while, been a bit uninspired (or going out less perhaps). Hopefully the tripod will reinvigorate.
This was Dan’s spotting. It is two levels of Hamer Hall, as seen from the bridge nearby.
