I forgot its winter in the southern hemisphere! How cold does Melbourne get?

Yes I’ve been hearing all about this heatwave in (northern?) US, whilst we’ve been a bit cooler!
Melbourne winter, because of the sea breezes is very rarely below freezing, around a low below 10 and a high below 20 degrees C. Wind and rain make it feel worse of course. The coldest nights with no cloud usually give frost and sunny clear days but we don’t get snow.

Thanks 🙂 Very vivid description.
The family was waiting for me to join them for the even better part of drinking warm cider in the sun at the bar/cafe you see under the bridge. (And some more photographic opportunities).
